professionals whom have extensive experience in the construction
of communications networks from transport to applications.
The principals, as well as many of our core members
on the Optinet team have over the span of two decades participated
directly in significant projects throughout the telecommunications,
data communications, and low voltage sectors, developing and delivering
specialty installation and test services.

Ms. Sherrod, founder and co-principal of Optinet Systems,
was determined from the company’s inception to lead a team
of telecommunications professionals who take pride in their work
and care deeply about creating positive experiences for their customers.
Ms. Sherrod has 25 years of progressive sales
and management experience in the telecommunications industry including
17 years with the former BMS Communications Services. She has distinguished
herself as a leader in the industry at large and is connected with
an expansive network of systems integrators across Canada, the USA,
Mexico, and Southeast Asia.
Ms. Sherrod served on the Board of Directors
of NECSI (a North American consortium of independent telecom companies)
from 1997-2008 and ten years as Editor of the organization’s
quarterly publication, CrossTalk.
Mr. Botting provides the business process and technical
guidance enabling and supporting the technical and fiscally prudent
operations of Optinet Systems.
For over 30 years, Ron Botting has worked within the telecommunications
Industry, in British Columbia across Canada and Internationally:
actively participating at field and management levels relative to
the implementation and maintenance of telecommunications systems,
including but not limited to:
Network Infrastructure / Telephone Systems / Fiber Optics / Microwave
Radio Networks / Cellular Systems / Wireless Networks / Data Communications
/TDM Networks / Packet Switched Networks / SCADA / CCTV and Access
Control.
Mr. Botting has developed staffed and managed business plans and
budgets in excess of 35 million annually.
He began his early career (1974) in the field services group of
Microtel Ltd. (Lenkurt Elec.) installing and commissioning Microwave
Radio and TDM transmission equipment throughout Canada and the Middle
East, later moving into the engineering services department.
In 1982, he joined BMS Communications Services
Ltd., a group of transmission specialists and assumed the role of
Operations Manager in 1984. The BMS team pioneered the concept of
'Outsourced Technical Services', offering full EF&I (Engineer,
Furnish & Install) activities, providing microwave and multiplex
installation and commissioning services across Canada, in the U.S.
and overseas, including Saudi Arabia. Deregulation (1985) in the
cellular market enabled BMS to secure contracts with major carriers
to install cellular switches across Canada, as well as the microwave
back-haul transmission network.
In 1998, Mr. Botting was appointed President of BMS Communications
Services Ltd, as well President of LeBLANC Network Services (LNS).
Under the auspices of Ron's leadership, 14 Canadian and US offices
converged to offer a full portfolio of network engineering, technical
and maintenance services to the Wireless, Cellular, PCS, and Data
Networking Industries.
As a principal employee of Optinet, Mr. Fleming has over
20 years of construction experience relating to the provision of
telecommunications infrastructure. He has worked for many years
with senior members of the Optinet team, managing and directing
field activities on a variety of infrastructure related projects
throughout Vancouver and South Western British Columbia. Mr. Fleming
is responsible for all aspects of project implementation, ensuring
each element is addressed and that personnel are sufficiently informed
to follow parameters outlined in each job specification.
Mr. Leszczynski works tirelessly
to deliver best practice in the configuration, supply and installation
of network infrastructure projects. Also a principal employee of
Optinet, he takes fierce pride in creating and maintaining customer
satisfaction..
